Chris and I recently attended the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art where they had a 21st Century Art exhibit. It was really amazing, with works by Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, Leandro Erlich’s trompe l’oeil sculpture, "The swimming pool", Turner Prize winner Martin Creed’s Work No. 965: "Half the air in a given space (purple)", where half the volume of one of the galleries was filled with purple balloons; and an incredible exhibition by French artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot where a gallery was filled with live finches, even an installation of two spiral-shaped slides by Carsten Höller, which he described as a ‘happiness producing machine’.
